OBD Max LLC was established in 2009 to assist heavy duty truck manufactures in confronting on board diagnostic (OBD) regulation and legislation. Over the past few years the California Air Resources Board (ARB) have focused on bringing diesel engine OBD up to the standards expected of gasoline applications.
The thirteen year journey gasoline embarked on in 1996 has been shortened for diesels. ARB has imposed very strict requirements for OBD Certification for diesel applications. In 2006 ARB passed new regulation regarding diesel OBD. A roll out was established with a target of full compliance by 2013.
Engineers at OBD Max have extensive experience working with ARB and EPA representing General Motors and Ford Diesel Powertrain. OBD Max engineers have developed OBD compliant algorithms and calibration, prepared CERT documents and successfully negotiated with government agencies to gain OBD certificate approval.
